62 tear old male patient comes to the surgery opd with swelling in the groin region.
On examination it is found to be a case of hernia, he was advised for surgery.

But he is on antihypertensive medication i.e angiotensin receptor blockers

All hypertensives should be continued except ACE inhibitors and angiotensin receptor antagonist which are omitted on the day of surgery, otherwise patient can develop intraoperative hypotension.
