A novel treatment for proximal femur fractures pain in patients awaiting surgery.

Gate C injection with Lignocaine only ( Tarsal Tunnel block) for the relief of proximal femur fracture pain awaiting surgery.
See how the patient lifts up her pelvis post the injection in her foot.
No traction is needed.
The analgesic effect of this injection will last more than few days till Operation is done( it does not last one hour only)
Note that the proof of successful injection in the tarsal tunnel is the anaesthesia achieved in the foot that happens within 15 minutes and lasts one hour only. I.e no foot anaesthesia means you missed the tarsal tunnel!
Different foot surgeries can be performed with tarsal tunnel block only omitting general anaesthesia ( by using lignocaine plus bupivacaine)
The injection volume is 10 ml( 3 ml of 2% lignocaine hcl plus 7 ml of distilled water) and can be repeated twice if patient is 60 kg in weight if you miss the tarsal tunnel in first injection.
Gate C injection is an art you will learn with time and it is one of the Anatomical Gates Of Sodium Channel blockers.
