A young patient comes in with multiple sinopulmonary infections

A young patient comes in with multiple 2.X linked agammaglobulin (Bruton’s) presents in male children at an early age.Not only no immunoglobulin produced,but the B cells and normal lymphoid structures are missing.Treatment is with immunoglobulin replacement infections. he has had sinusitis,bronchitis,pneumonia and otitis media.

  1. The patient is an adult with normal lymphnodes. B-cell numbers are normal.Immunoglobulin produced is markedly low.
    Common variable immunodeficiency presents in adults with normal numbed of B cells but markedly low immunoglobulin levels.Treatment is with replacement of Immunoglobulins

  2. A male child has infection in the first year of life. Lymph nodes and tonsils are hypoplastic. Immunoglobulin levels and B -cells are absent
