Alison Kenji Kojima - USMLE Step 2 CK Experience of 240

Just got my step2 CK score “240”.
I know there are a lot of people who are studying to get a score of “250+”.
Although I couldn’t get 250+, I’m happy with my score as I achieved my goal while working as a
resident at the same time.
I just want to summarize and share my experience and give you 3TIPS.
—————————————————————
Real deal “240”
My goal “240+”
Duration: 3-4month studying while working.
Status: 2nd year residency in Japan (half Filipino )
Source:
Uworld : 1st round 70%
2nd round 85%
UWSA1 : 251 (4weeks out)
UWSA2 : 250 (1 week out)
Free question 120 : 90%(3 days out)
+Kaplan note for internal medicine
+Secret (4th edition)
+CMS: half of the blocks.

  1. Get Enough study time in the last 4 weeks.
I think the last 4 weeks are very important to review all the knowledge you got in your study. I’ve
got “30 hour ER shift” for 8 f”king times+DAY Shift(six days a week) in the last 4 weeks. That took all
my energy, time, and concentration toward the exam.
The only source that I could review was Uworld. To be honest, I wanted to review the other books
that I used such as Kaplan note, Secret…
  2. Get a enough sleep before the test day.
As a lot people told you, this is very important to endure the 9-hour exam.
  3. For those who are studying while working at the same time, please keep in your mind, WE ARE
    ON THE SAME BOAT.
The most difficult part in preparetion was keeping regular studying time everyday. After working
hard at the hospital, I didn’t have enough energy and time. And it delayed my plans, which made
me really upset all the time. I know there are a lot of people suffering like me.
But don’t forget that you are not the only one. YOU ARE HIGHLY TALENTED and YOU CAN DO IT!
Good luck to you guys all. I hope for your success!
