As I once wrote here about my frustration with applying for jobs and being rejected

An encouraging story (long one)
As I once wrote here about my frustration with applying for jobs and being rejected, I am obliged to write about the positive as well.
I got my GMC registration in January 2020 and I have been applying for jobs even before I finished the registration. I got an interview for one job I applied for the first day I started applying which I put down because it was only 6 months (dumb me) then after 3 months I got 2 interviews in the same week and was not offered the job in both. Here the frustration began and I started losing hope as at that time I did apply for +600 jobs. Then I said to myself let’s continue applying as a part of daily activities while working in new job in my country and add to my cv some other experience. I usually apply for 3-4 days together not everyday. Three months later, I was lazy and said what will happen if I don’t apply this week… Nothing… I have been applying for months… But I said no i will apply anyway… And BAAAM a week later I got an interview and I was offered the job on spot for a job in the week I was hesitant to apply. I realized then that the time you surrender to hopelessness, is the time you lose. By that time I have applied for +1100 jobs at junior level.

So here are the tips:
-if you are applying for junior level jobs, which is hard, don’t be picky for a specialty or a place.

  • work on your cv and add new experience.
  • always do modifications to your supporting information according to the job.
  • try to be convincing that you really want the job.
  • if you are not good with it let someone look at your profile and ask for help.

And lastly, I consider my self I wouldn’t say unlucky, but a 30% lucky guy :upside_down_face: but I know I am a hard worker. It has nothing to do with luck. If you work hard for it, you will absolutely have it. And thanks to everybody who helped me with my tough time and failure.
