Avoid fluoroquinolones in patients with history of convulsions or epilepsy

Avoid fluoroquinolones in patients with history of convulsions or epilepsy .

Avoid aminogycosides in patients with myasthenia gravis or myasthenia like syndromes .

Avoid macrolides in patients taking statins or cyclosporine .

Avoid Ciprofloxacin in patients taking warfarin or aminophylline

Avoid Quinolones and sulfonamides in patients with history of G6PD deficiency .

Avoid Vancomycin in patients with significant renal impairment .

Avoid sulfonamides , trimethoprim and nitrofurantoin in patients with acute intermittent prophyria .

Avoid Quinolones , tetracyclines ,and macrolides ( except erythromycin) in pregnant ladies .By the way , nitrofurantoin is safe ( for UTI).

Avoid macrolides in patients taking drugs that prolong QT like terfenadine , ketoconazole , TCA, and sotalol .

Avoid linozolid in patients with seizures and those with excess hormones like ( pheochromocytoma , thyrotoxicosis , and carcinoid syndrome )…By the way , linozolid can be used safely in patients with significant renal dysfunction .
