Can someone please add their gems to this list when we use CPAP , positive pressure ventilation vs mechanical ventilation etc i mix them all up
Heres what I know
-
ETT is always number 1
-
Crico if severe , short term only
-
Tracheostomy, long term, avoid in kids
-
****** HELPS : Continous Positive Airway Pressure CPAP
It has two parts , BiPap and idk something else, but we use it to keep alveoli open so its used in ARDS , but not Pneumo?
- Then theres lastly, the Ventilator with its PaO2 and PaCo2 stuff, which ones to adjust etc that we must know , with their Peak pressures and Pleateau pressures etc
