Can someone please add their gems to this list when we use CPAP

Can someone please add their gems to this list when we use CPAP , positive pressure ventilation vs mechanical ventilation etc i mix them all up :sob:

Heres what I know

  1. ETT is always number 1

  2. Crico if severe , short term only

  3. Tracheostomy, long term, avoid in kids

  4. ****** HELPS : Continous Positive Airway Pressure CPAP

It has two parts , BiPap and idk something else, but we use it to keep alveoli open so its used in ARDS , but not Pneumo?

  1. Then theres lastly, the Ventilator with its PaO2 and PaCo2 stuff, which ones to adjust etc that we must know , with their Peak pressures and Pleateau pressures etc
