Complication of Colle’s fracture
-Finger stiffness is the most common complication following colles fracture others are wrist,elbow and shoulder that can become stiff.
-Malunion is the 2nd m/c complication as this leads to dinner fork deformity.
-Sudek’s osteodystrophy/reflex sympathetic dystrophy.colles fracture is the most common cause of sudecks dystrophy in upper limb.
-Rupture of extensor Pollicis longus tendon.
-Carpal instability.
-Triangular fibro cartilage complex(TFCC)injury and subluxation of the inferior radio ulnar joint.
-Delayed union and non union are very rare.
