Congratulations

to those who wanted to delay the exam. You have your wish fulfilled. But is it really worth it?

I don’t understand why a bunch of people wanted to delay the exam. Extra time to study? No. Weren’t much prepared? No. Had some other plans for the 18th? No. Feared being contracted with COVID? Really?

In a country where the government allows election rallies and voting, kumbh mela, IPL matches, “night curfew” - you feared yourself getting the virus? That too being doctors?

Think about the over exhausted residents working tirelessly since the last 1 year, think about those dropouts who were planning for a job post the exam, think about those who already travelled to their destinations, think about those who barely could afford a flight just to give the exam. And all this, after the admit cards were released. Rubbish! And when will the exam be rescheduled - 1 month, 2 months? Because if it happens within 2 weeks,it will be lamest decision ever taken!

If at all the exam was to be delayed, it should have been atleast 15 days prior to the exam, not just 3 days before. Will anybody get compensation for their monetory, emotional and mental and psychological loss? No.

You could have increased the test centres, you could have made 2 slots for the exam. But no, cancellation was a better option as per the respected govt authorities.

Well played guys, well played. God bless the education and health system of India! And God bless those who delayed this examination. Peace.
