DISSECTION OF AORTA

48 years old Female from Pune, Hypertensive since 6 years On telmisartan 40 mg od. Presented with Weakness in the Left upper limb since 24 hrs, unable to move fingers properly, she was cooking breakfast when she developed this weakness. Lower limb was spared.
CT of aortography reveal the case of DISSECTION OF AORTA. There was a thrombus extending in the left subclavian artery, hence the limb had become cold. This case referred to a vascular surgeon. Stent was passed in the aorta and thrombectomy was done. Left radial pulse returned.
