drug of choice in Atrial fibrillations
acute AF without structural heart disease = flecainide
acute AF with structural heart disease = amiadrone
chronic AF or duration is not mention= rate control treatment is offered ( beta blocker or calcium channel blocker)
chronic AF with heart failure = digoxin, avoid varapamil and diltiazam in heart failure
AF with WPW= amiadrone or flecainide
digoxin, varapamil, sotalol,adenosine are contraindicated
permanent AF= rate controlling drugs (no use of DCCV or pharmacological CV)
