For last few days in this group, there is a lot of hype regarding pg from AIIMS Delhi, PGI or other central institutes.
I just want to know whether pg college really matters that much in long run??
will there be any major difference ( in future prospects) between MD Medicine from AIIMS Delhi & MD Medicine from a good state govt medical college??
Mbbs from total eight medical colleges in india r valid in singapore…aiims, cmc, jipmer, mamc, grants, afmc,mmc…
Well initially yes, afterwards depends on you
And it’s nice to have aiims tag
If you have good understanding of your subject and better application of that understanding in professional life then people will know you for “you” not for college.
But if you are not good at something which your degree says you are, then everyone will have a question : from which college you completed UG & PG
Yes, matters a lot. These institutes will give you a head start in your career. In smaller institutes you don’t get an opportunity to learn the same amount in three years.
Your patients won’t come to you just because you’re an aiims passout.
It depends on your hard work and skill set.
And as far international recognition is concerned, any medical degree obtained from a college in UK has more relevance than AIIMS degree.
Moral: hierarchy between branches and between colleges won’t end, what matters is your perspective.
