Functions of various lobes of Brain:
Frontal Lobe ( MCPS is Mnemonic).
M for Mood, Motivation & Movements ( Motor), Memory
C for Cognition ( reasoning, judgement etc)
P for Personality ( self care)
S for a sphincter control
S for Socially acceptable & socialisation
S for Speech ( Broca, Fluency)
Temporal Lobe ( Mneomnic is GLOBE)
G for Gustation
L for Lip snacking
O for Olfaction
B for Behaviour
E for Emotions
E for Ear ( Hearing)
Memory , speech & human behaviour ( Psychology) are shared by both the Frontal & Temporal lobe.
Parietal lobe is a final destination of all peripheral sensation & also has 4 cortical sensations ( stereo gnosis , graphesthesia, tactile localizations , two point discrimination).
Dominant parietal lobe also works for study related functions ( reading, writing, calculation , counting & naming)
Non-Dominant parietal lobe takes us away from studies ( Artistical skills, musical interest & skills, orientation about right & left etc, orientation about surroundings etc).
Thalamus is Secretary to cortex , so all the information from other parts ( like cerebellum, basal ganglia, brain stem, spinal cord & peripheral nerves ) passes through thalamus before entering to cortex ( exception is olfaction).
I just wrote a simplified version without much detailed description.
