With an ACL Reconstruction you can walk pretty much day 1 or they allow you to. So to me that says there is minimal risk of damaging the new ACL as long as you don’t over exert yourself.
Now with the (Meniscus Repair) lateral meniscus to be specific it seems like it’s not so standard across the board on how soon they let you walk or put weight on your surgery leg. I’ve seen everything from a few days to 8 weeks.
I’m just curious since some doctors do allow you to walk on the surgery leg after a meniscus repair what the actual likelihood of hurting the repair is? I’m not supposed to but I have walked a few times very short distances on line and there is 0 pain. I of course still use my crutches if it’s more than a few feet but I just don’t know why I have to continue using them.
