Had my first flare up of Eczema 
Treated with steroid cream which has calmed the itchiness & pain. My skin is now very dry & flacky - currently using Dermol 500 as a soap alternative & mosituriser straight after the shower.
Is there a better moisturiser I could be using?
Coconut oil, or E45 which is specifically for dermatitis, dry skin. Get from pharmacy or woolies have it. They have a wash (it is like a cream so doesn’t foam up, but no chemicals). It is thick & penetrates into the skin well. I use it morning & nite
My son was using Dermol 500. Try a cream with coconut oil, shea butter, lavender, and frankincense it worked really well for my daughter’s eczema and my son uses it too for his dry itchy scalp. Dermazeam skin renewing cream has all these ingredients
Use oils like instead of creams. Like coconut oil…jojoba oil…emu oil… those go deeper into the skin.
