A 10 months old baby was brought to Emergency Department of Darul Sehat Hospital, Karachi, with severe airway obstruction. He was turning blue (cyanosed) and was not able to cry.
Patient was immediately taken in Resuscitation Room and Basic Life Support (BLS) Protocol was applied.
A large foreign body was removed from airway after 1 cycle of chest thrusts and back blows. Baby revived and became well.
A precious life is saved just because staff was trained in Emergency Medicine. Thank God
