Hepatic venous outflow obstruction
is divided into 3 syndromes :-

1 - thromboses of atresia of hepatic veins (in a child) >> Budd Chiari syndrome.
.
2 - Dilatation / congestion of hepatic veins and IVC (in elderly) >> Congestive hepatopathy / passive hepatic congestion syndrome.
.
3 - Attenuated hepatic veins from liver fibrosis and cirrhosis with history of chemotherapy / bone marrow transplantation >> venom-oclusive disease / recently known as sinusoidal obstruction syndrome.
