How many years does it take from step 1 to step 3 and get matched approximately ?
Which includes building strong CV ? As well
I see many people saying that they still didn’t receive any interview calls even after waiting for 2-3 years …
and having strong CV
Basically I’m an average final year student …my intuition says to opt for masters in Surgery in Germany or in my home country ( India)
But I started loving medicine during my final year …
I used to prepare for mle during my initial years of schooling …u know that urge ? During early days of MedSchool right ?
Later I couldn’t focus or handle the proff exams and USMLE preparation both simultaneously … due to lots of financial problems as well …
I had to fund myself for 4 semesters by doing some odd jobs
Now that everything has fallen into place and I have one year to graduate …
Just as a backup plan, I just wanted to know
How the things have changed from the past 3 years ?
Building good CV is more important than actual scoring and as competition is sky rocketing …as far as I know
I want to ask suggestions from my old friends in the forum …
How did u guys do it ?
How many years did u take approximately ?
How was the journey …?
Have u got matched already ?
Is it all worth it after going thru everything ?
Or should I opt for PLAB ? Or start my language classes for Germany and focus mainly surgery ?
