How soon did people swim after acl recon? I’m 6 weeks post op and my physio cleared me for any sort of swimming however from reading articles online it seems views are mixed.
If you sutures are out you can swim, but with a buoy so your legs are not working. I wasn’t cleared to swim buoyless until about 4 months post operation.
I was about 10 weeks before I swam, I was cleared to do it sooner, but I didn’t feel confident enough to walk on a wet pool deck yet. Backstroke was the easiest for me.
