Hi, i have a doudoubt regarding reservation in aiims. There are 37 general medicine seats, 13 - ur, 10 - OBC, sc -7, st -1, EWS - 6. If 40% seats are general(leaving 10% for ews), shouldn’t the total seats be 15? Kindly someone help. Please… And correct me if I had made a mistake. Thank you
It is correct. I counted them, except for aiims Bhubaneswar, all the other aiims has 1 medicine seat for ews
Ews is 10percentage. But those seats are given as additional seats;not taken from general quota. So, after giving reservation, there will be some differences. EWS is given with creation of ne seats, to prevent loss of general quota seats
Actually the thing is , general walo ko last m milta h, pahle total me se SC ,OBC ,ST ki %age nikalti h ,last me jo rah jata h vo gen. Ka. & Seat round off ho jaati h ,lyk agr obc ki 1.4 seat calculate hui %age k acc. to usko 2 seat kr dete h

1 less seat of medicine alloted for UR at AIIMS Delhi mock counseling.
In PGI also only 7 seats of medicine alloted for UR.
Hardly 25% seats for UR.
