I need some guidance for my first pregnancy.

1- I understand mat leave is entitled for 52 weeks but when exactly does this start?

2- Is it possible to take accured leave together when mat leave starts?

3- During mat leave, are we allowed to travel? I dont have much support here with me and would like to spend atleast a month of mat leave back home in pak.

  1. I think you can start mat leave anytime after 29th week of pregnancy

  2. Accrued annual leave is usually at the end of may leave because it is literally what it says - annual leave you accrued whilst on mat leave

  3. You can travel. Not sure about the legalities of max time you’re allowed to stay outside the Uk on tier 2 visa but assume the same would apply.
