In this image occiput is shown on right side facing pubic symphisis facing anteriorly

In this image occiput is shown on right side facing pubic symphisis facing anteriorly, so shouldn’t the position be Right Occiput Ant.
Because in your lecture you have said this position to be Left Occiput Ant. ?
In this we can clearly see that Occiput is towards Rt. Side of me as well as to the mother because it is facing on right side of pubic symphisis

Hello Bhavya,

As per convention, we always consider the left side of figure as Right and the right side of the figure as left, since the view is from downwards. So before proceeding, first of all always label the sides and then only determine the position

Similar thing has been taught by Dear Mayur sir during radio lectures, Same thing ma’am has explained as well

Hope this helps

It’s ur right side bro so it’s left side of maternal pelvis simple just like CT scan images in coronal section cross directional

Occiput is to the Lt side of mother. Your right - Mother’s left.

You’re facing the mother. So ulta hi dikhega

Don’t imagine the pelvis as above downwards rather you have see it as Fetal head going to deliver.
