It’s a really good branch. You will definitely not regret taking it.but then all depends on your seniors. If they are toxic then even ophthal will feel toxic too.

The perspective of two my close friends whonare doing ophthal… One in a reputed dnb Institute and another in a peripheral medical college… It totally depends on your place of working… If u are workings in rajendra prasad / Rio / reputed dnb eye institutes like lv prasad sankar netralaya it’s quite hectic… While if u work in eye department of peripheral medical colleges probably it’s not that much hectic
