NBE to conduct NEET PG 2018 exam on Jan 7

National Board of Examination (NBE) has announced the exam date of NEET PG 2018. NEET PG 2018 was scheduled to be held on January 7 in the online mode. The result has been declared on January 24. This year NEET was conducted in a single session i.e. all candidates took the same question paper. Therefore, no equating or scaling procedure was adopted while calculating the score of candidates.

The application form of NEET PG 2018 began from October 31, 2017. Candidates who have passed MBBS or will be completing their MBBS internship by March 2018 registered for the exam. The NEET PG 2018 application form was meant to be filled online. The application procedure of NEET PG 2018 included registration for the exam, filling up personal and academic details, uploading of images and payment of requisite fee. In the application form candidates were supposed to mention their Aadhaar card number.

NBE has announced the revised exam pattern of NEET PG 2018. As per the NEET PG 2018 exam pattern, questions will be based on the prescribed syllabus. For each correct response candidates will secure 4 marks and one mark will be deducted from each incorrect response.

NEET PG 2018 is a single window entrance examination for admission to around 35,000 seats MD/MS/Post Diploma courses. The ambit of NEET PG exam covers all medical and dental colleges that are established by the Central Government, State Government, University, Deemed University, Trust, Society, Company, Minority Institutions or Corporation. However, institutes of national importance established under special or parliament act are away from NEET PG ambit. These institutes are AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER, IBHAS, NIMHANS, etc.
Scope of NEET PG 2018 Examination - The scope of exam includes the following

All India 50% quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses (all states except Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana)
State quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses for all States/Union territories of India (including the states of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana)
MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at all Private Medical Colleges, Institutions & Universities/Deemed Universities all across the country
MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.
