NEET PG has been conducted on January 7, 2018

National Board of Examinations (NBE) has conducted NEET PG 2018 on January 7, in single session. NEET PG 2018 is a computer-based test (CBT) conducted for admission to around 35,000 MD/MS/PG Diploma seats offered by government as well as private medical colleges of India. NEET PG was held in 128 exam centres from 09:30 am to 01:00 pm. This year, the marking scheme has been announced by the authority under which 4 marks is carried for correct answer, while 1 mark will be deducted for negative marking. The result of NEET PG 2018 will be announced on or before January 31, 2018. NEET PG 2018 entrance test includes 300 multiple choice questions (MCQs) from Pre-Clinical, Clinical and Para-Clinical subjects taught in MBBS programme.

NEET PG result will be available online and candidates have to enter their testing ID, date of birth and security pin to check the result. NEET PG 2018 result will display name of candidates, All India Rank, percentile secured, total marks obtained, roll number, date of birth etc. As NEET PG 2018 will be conducted in single session, therefore, no equating methodology will be followed and marking scheme will be used to calculate it. Candidates must secure the minimum NEET PG cutoff as precribed to qualify the entrance test. General aspirants must secure 50 percentile, while SC/ST/OBC aspirants must secure 40 percentile in NEET PG 2018.

On the basis of scores secured in the entrance test, NEET PG merit list 2018 will be prepared by authority. Admission to 50% All India Quota seats in government medical colleges will be granted on the basis of NEET PG merit list 2018, which will be released on February 15 by the conducting authority. On the basis of rank in NEET PG 2018 merit list, aspirants will be called for counselling process.

NEET PG counselling 2018 for 50% All India Quota seats will be organised by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). As per the order of government, NEET PG 2018 counselling will be conducted in two rounds. The seat allotment of NEET PG 2018 will be done based on All India Rank, preferences of colleges as well as courses and seats available. MCC will declare the result of NEET PG counselling round 1 on the specified dates. The selected candidates must report at the allotted colleges for completion of admission process. After first round of seat allotment, NEET PG 2018 counselling second round will be conducted for filling remaining vacant seats.
