Precautionary measures during monsoon season

Monsoon rains are continuing almost all over Pakistan and according to the Meteorological Department, this series will continue for the next few days. By taking some precautionary measures, we can save ourselves and others from major accidents.
1-Prefer to stay at home by abandoning unnecessary activities during rainy days and be aware of the city conditions and weather conditions every moment through radio and TV before leaving the house -
2-Avoid passing by electricity pillars around the streets, roads and especially fallen power stars.

3-Keep children away from power appliances and sockets and don’t let them stand in open space when there is thunder and lightning -
4-Avoid touching wet hands and barefoot power devices, especially by ringing bells and running ironing, washing machine and motor pump - shut down unnecessary power devices
If water enters the house, turn off the switch of gas and electricity.
5-Avoid passing near electricity and transformers in rainy and strong winds.

6-Install isolate from small generator service connection and separate it from service wires before opening the generator.
7-Keep checking the leakage, drainage system and sewer regularly in the house so that there is no obstacle in drainage in excessive rain.
8-Must keep lamps, torch, matches, candles at home.
9-Before touching a pedestal fan, wet wire or broken wire, satisfy the switch off and fix the broken wire -
10-Stay away from electricity pillars and sign board and the water standing near the pillars may also have electricity sometimes, so avoid it.
11-Avoid passing yourself on the wires fallen on the electricity ground or spending the vehicle and do not stand near trees and sign boards.

12-In case of emergency, call the rescue agencies for help and write the numbers of these institutions clearly at home so that there is no time wasted in finding the number needed.
13-Drive the vehicle slowly and carefully in the rain because the break on the wet road takes delay.
14-Drive in the middle lane in the rain as the rain water flows towards the corners of the road.

15-Avoid driving behind major cars especially trucks and buses as they spread water while passing and probability of falling on the screen of the vehicle which can cause driving problems.
16-Turn on car headlights in the rain and drive by looking at the front vehicle signs.
17-Avoid going to dangerous places in mountainous areas and be very careful while passing through sliding places and drive the vehicle very carefully.
18-Those who are living in the lowest areas if the rain water is in danger of entering the house, electrical equipment and valuable goods are delivered to the upper floor.
19-People going to offices should keep extra petrol, water, torch, matches and first aid box plastic bags with them.

20-Don’t try to transition flood relay, river drains and rivers by walking or a ride
21-Avoid throwing garbage cricket especially plastic bags and bottles in rainy drains and sewerage system or drainage water routes -
22-Avoid living in or near under construction building and avoid bathing in drains or rivers during or after rain.
23-Keep the speed of car, motorcycle low and keep a proper distance from the vehicle in front -
