So i’ve been allotetd ms ortho seat in a private college via state counselling (8lakh fee).This is the first year of pg admissions in the college(college started in 2013).i have a few queries regarding permitted seats
1.i know that untill the seat gets recognised i can only practice in home state but can i appear for mrcs and dnb exams before my seat gets recognised or will i have to wait to give exams until seat is recognised?
2.will i be eligible for fellowships as soon as i passout(seat will still be permitted then)?
3.even in the home state is it difficult to get govt job or srship if you have passed from a permitted seat?like is there discrimination like md ms vs dnb in permitted vs recognised md ms passouts?
4.any other drawbacks of permitted seat?
5.at my rank i can get dnb ophth in a decent institue which is my second fav branch…should i leave ms ortho permitted seat for dnb ophth?
You can appear for dnb only when it becomes recognised while for mrcs you dont need to get it recognised
No issue will be there for jobs in your state if it is permitted and no discrimination
I guess you should go for ms ortho since it is your number one choice
