Sweat glands are simple coiled tubular glands.
Types of glands :
-Simple alveolar (acinar ): not found in adults; a stage in between development of simple branched glands .
-Simple branched alveolar (acinar): sebaceous glands.
-Simple tubular: intestinal glands.
-Simple coiled tubular: merocrine sweat glands.
-Simple branched tubular: gastric glands and mucous glands of doudenum, esophagus and tongue.
-Compound alveolar (acinar): mammary glands.
-Compound tubuloavleolar: salivary glands, glands of respiratory passage, and pancreas.
-Compound tubular: mucous glands (in mouth); bulbourethral glands (in male reproductive system); and testes (seminiferous tubules).
