Hartmann’s forceps
This forceps resembles Tilleys forceps in its angulation. The difference being the tip of this forceps is wide and spade like with serrations. It is used to apply dressings and medicated pledgets into the ear. It can also be used to remove foreign bodies from the ear canal.
Jobson’s Horne Probe
Serrated probe end
It has two ends. One end is serrated and pointed while the other end has a ring attached to it. it is a versatile ENT outpatient instrument. It is used to:

  1. Remove wax from the ear
  2. Remove foreign body from ear and nose
  3. Removal of granulations in the ear
  4. The pointed and serrated end also known as the probe end can be used to probe polyp in the nose and ear after rolling a cotton whisp over it
  5. The probe end can be used as cotton swab carrier and can be used to clean the ear or nose
