USMLE STEP 1 LIVE ON-SITE
Our step 1 course will excite you. Then, it will enlighten and empower you! We completely review the basic medical sciences in an organ system based format. More importantly, we show you how to apply them to endless clinical situations.
We begin each day by doing a few randomly chosen USMLE or COMLEX questions so that we are helping each student develop excellent test taking skills. The classes are taught in a very interactive manner. This means that students are encouraged to ask questions; and questions are asked of every student. Therefore, learning is not simply passive.
Each day, each topic is designed to teach one large concept as well as several small ones. This makes large amounts of information much more manageable. We drill students on high yield clues both during class and in drill sessions held in the evenings. Finally, each student then receives one-on-one sessions weekly to help each student develop the self-confidence and accuracy required to perform well on the exams.
GENERAL CLASS FORMAT
- Classes are held Monday to Friday 8am-3:15pm; (subject to change due to observance of National Holidays)
- Each class is held for approximately 6 hours a day, with one 15-20 minute morning break and 1 hour lunch break
5 WEEK PROGRAM
Program Features:
- Basic Science Lectures
- Monday-Friday morning test-taking strategy workshops (1 hr) with the entire class presented by Dr. Francis and other instructors
- 1 one-on-one tutoring session per week
- 2 NBME practice exams: First NBME to be taken beginning of first week. Second NBME to be taken when advised by our tutors or Dr. Francis
- Our instructors will continually monitor students’ progress and intervene, if necessary
- Unlimited use of the computer lab during center hours (6am-8pm Monday-Friday)
- Access to recorded lectures for duration of class
Optional Services:

- Additional one-on-one sessions may be purchased and added during the course, if needed (subject to availability)
