Hi everyone! What are the most helpful exercises down the road to build strength? I’ve had ACL repair and scar tissue removal a year apart and my quad is taking much longer to strengthen.
I love doing all kinds of weighted squats and they helped me very well. But honestly, it’s very boring and not a functional movement, but leg extension, hamstring curls and leg presses (all single leg) do work to build basic muscle. Especially when you can’t squat heavy yet it’s a good way to still be able to go as heavy as possible and build muscle quite fast.
Did you have a quad graft? The location where the graft is taken from can take much longer to strengthen, no matter what exercises you use.
Going to incorporate more squats! I had an allograft
