What ever information needs verbal response is processed by association cortex of parietal lobe

Speech Problems:

What ever information needs verbal response is processed by association cortex of parietal lobe. Then association cortex sends the info to Wernicke area of temporal lobe which understands the message sent from association cortex. Then appropriate words are transferred to Broca area via Arcuate Fasciculus.
So understanding of soeech & appropriate response (comprehension & sensible appropriate verbal response ) is function of Wernicke area.

Arcuate Fasciculus conducts those words to Broca area.

Broca area then make selection of proper words in a proper sequence & fluency. So Fluency is function of Broca’s area.

Naming is function of Angular Gyrus of Parietal Lobe. Repetition of the said sentence is mediated by Arcuate Fasciculus which conducts wernickes to Broca via thalamus.

Then Broca area sends order to motor cortex concerned for speech muscles. Then cortico-bulbar tract carries order to brain stem where cranial nerves nuclei send further order to vocal cord ( for phonation) & then pharynx, soft palate, tongue & then lips ( this sequential muscle contraction called articulation is controlled by cerebellum).

W for Worthless speech & Wernicke’s area. Non sense speech due to lack of comprehension.

B for Broken ( non fluent) speech is Broca’s speech.

Loss of repetition is Arcuate Fasciculus or thalamic lesion.

Dysarthria ( loss of articulation) is either cranial nerve?or cerebellar or muscle stiffness or muscle paralysis.

Naming problem is dominant angular Gyrus lesion.
