What is Oxinium knee replacement ?
Oxinium knee has oxidised zirconium coating on the femoral component. This is 20% lighter than cobalt chromium. This increases the resistance to scratching and abrasion. It also has highly polished titanium tibia and special polyethylene to improve implant longevity.
There are certain people who have metal hypersensitivity. This is due to Nickel content in cobalt chromium.
