Has anyone had a pacemaker fitted with severe COPD my mums currently in hospital after a suspected heart attack waiting to have one as priority. She has been advised that they can’t resuscitate her as her lungs are bad and it will do more harm than good.
I thought due to this they would have to do a local but there insisting that she will have a general although I haven’t spoken to any anaesthetist so not 100 percent sure. But we are really worried at the moment wonder if anyone else has had the same

good I really hope they do her by local it will put my mind more at ease she is worried sick x

I was due to have another one put in this year but i cant take sedation or il nearly died having i had to have 4 referrals to start my heart to come back x
