Lichen planus is an autoimmune disease.
Common in spring and summers in tropical countries.
Usually affects children and young adults
Sunlight is considered to be the predisposing factor therefore lesions
are more common on sun exposed areas (face, dorsum ofhand,
forearms and arms, nape of the neck).
Papules are hyperpigmented with voilaceous-brown with well-
definedhypopigmented border.
Pruritrus and scaling are minimal.
