I have understood thus. All seats occupied, payment done and confirmed are not in the R2 seat matrix. Such seats are hidden from view and some of them can be allotted. Now you can get an idea of these seats only if you cross check matrix 1 and 2 one by one from the beginning. So its more like R1 where a candidate is given a chance again. Assuming that any candidate gets an upgrade in R2, his R1 seat will be allotted to the first lower ranker who had opted for the same in R1. This particular seat cannot be chosen by candidates now afresh in R2. Say Rank 10 has got Medicine in R1 and is upgraded to Radio. The medicine seat will automatically go to Rank 11 if he had opted for it or to Rank 12 or 13 or so on till it is allotted. What i understand is this is upgradation in R1 itself because the payment for the seats done, it is offered to the immediate next candidate who has preferred it. Once upgraded, you dont lose R1 seat. You get your actually deserving R1 seat in R2. Hope this clears.
If a rank 9 puts a choice above his allocated seat in round 1 (ie willing for upgradation)and rank ten already freezed the same seat(not willing for upgradation)
Who will get the seat
Is it rank 10 because he already freezed
Or
Rank 9 (who wants upgradation in round 2) as he is in higher rank
In AIQ a higher ranker could get a seat vacated by a lower ranker in subsequent rounds. In DnB a seat vacated may go to only a lower ranker.
So only I always feel tat they should give allotment letter immidiately after round 1 for ppl who don’t want upgradation
But I feel
Those seats which are freezed will not have any problem and it is already allotted
Correct me if I’m wrong
What ever seat comes from upgradation will go from rank 1 and and not the next ranker? Because we can add new choices which could be was taken by someone in r1 n now when he gets upgraded the person above should get now below
I couldn’t understand wat you want to convey
Say whether it is rank 9 or ten from above example
Looks like it would go to the lowest ranked candidate only
as per what is mentioned in the seat matrix. Such cases will be very minimal. Many seats are available in the vacancy and so should not be a problem . But yes there may be a few impacted for not finalizing the right order in round 1. Exactly as it would have happened in a manual counseling.
What happens if I want a seat that has been allotted to someone below my rank ?
Suppose rank 20 now wants a seat that rank 40 got in round one . What happens in such a scenario where both rank 20 and 40 have opted for upgradation.
mam i hv not been alloted any seat in AI R1or R2 or mop up rounds. But the with lower rank were alloted clinical seat which was of my first option.when i called up mcc they told i hv filled up only 17 option. Im not able to understand the option filling and the explanation they gave because i wanted only those 17 choice because once ur alloted your not allowed to leave the seat.Mam plz kindly explain.
mam when you mean a particular seat cannot be chosen by candidates afresh in R2 do you mean it can only be transferred from one round 1 alloted candidate to to another in the name of an upgrade and not someone who is alloted for the first time in round 2?
