As u told in lectures that doc for pcos - ocp

As u told in lectures that doc for pcos - ocp

But if pt refuses to take ocp then do withdrawl of progesteron every month , give progesteron for 5 days then withdraw it , but it does not regulate the cycle and also it is not protective for endometrium

My question is , why it is not protective for endometrium , i mean if someone take it every month then there will be like a normal cycle n endometrium will shed every month , then will be no hyperplasia n then no risk for cancer…

Then how it is not protective for endometrium…kindly clear my concept plzzx

I guess progesterone will only remove the hyperplasic endometrium(only superficial one ) doesn’t stop it as on basal layer estrogen work which occure in proliferation stage so in each cycle estrogen goona trigger the endometrium and hence regular triggering may result in problms

But we need the confirmation

maam , one thing again i m thinking that ,

Endometrial carcinoma is the complication of pcos…

N pcos is is due to anovulation , if we try ovulation then pcos will be treated , then why ovulation is the risk factor for endometrial cancer…why anovulation is the management of endometrial cancer…

I mean , anovulation occurs in pcos then if we cause ovulation then there will be risk for endometrial cancer n if we cause anovulation then there will be risk of more pcos n further it will lead to endometrial cancer…to kare to kare kya maam.
