Asking for my father…

He underwent HRCT on 19th and score was 8/25… IL-6 was 29

Today he underwent repeat HRCT and score is 8/25… Today’s IL-6 is 11

Blood count is abormal- Neutrophilia and Lymohocytopenia

His age is 55 and he is pre-diabetic…Has a mild dry cough now… Apart from this, no other symptoms…

CRP, D-DIMERS, LDH, serrum Ferritin are normal… SpO2 has been 97 at room air even before admission…

Doctor suggests discharge but we don’t want to take risk and don’t want him to be discharged until all blood tests and CT reports come normal…

Kindly share your thoughts regarding this scenario… Thank you…

No indication for staying admitted any longer. Better free the bed for someone in need

Not sure why CT was done at first place. Unless on oxygen and not improving and you think something other than covid going on then CT is fine . But otherwise doing CT will not change management.

No need to check IL-6 as well

If on room air no need for remdesvir as well as decadron

He can be safely discharged at home.

I hope speedy recovery

it is okay to get discharged.take care at home he will be fine in few days .
