Hi. Based on my experience, just wanted to advise a word of caution on using remitly for sending money back home.
I used them for the first time this week and the transaction remained in process for the entire day after which I ended up cancelling it. Received an email stating I would receive my refund by end of day, still waiting two days on. I appreciate others have used remitly with no issues but thought I’d share my recent experience incase.
Before this I used transferwise for one transaction. Happened in minutes with no issues.
Haw anyone else experienced a similar issue with remitly?
Have been using worldremit. It has been giving me the better exchange rate plus first 3 transactions are free of charges and the reciever have recieved money within 10-30minutes. The app keeps you updated about the progress of transfer via email and sms.
My advice to get the best exchange rate is, download all remittance apps and see which one gives you the better rate on that particular day and use it.
