Best thing is government should take NEET PG exam ASAP so
- 25,000 doctors get PG seats will serve the nation
- remaining 1,50,000 doctors will be free from studying FOR NEET PG will join hospitals and will serve the nation
What exactly is your goal here? Joining Pg seat or actually helping out in the pandemic? If it’s the latter then you can easily do that by joining some sort of hospital(government or private) to do it. Why wait till you get selected in Neet Pg?
Neet Pg’s main goal isn’t to increase manpower. Its main goal is to select doctors who can be trained to become specialists. One doesn’t need to be a surgeon to treat a patient with covid. A simple MBBS degree is good enough. So why in the blue hell would the government conduct a nation wide exam just to select a handful of candidates for specialty training especially under these circumstances? If it wants manpower it’ll simply hire workers as GDMOs.
So stop whining and making these sort of ridiculous posts dude.
If your main goal is to join Pg and you don’t care about this pandemic then atleast have the guts to be upfront about it. Don’t hide behind these weakass arguments like,“oh there’s a dearth of doctors in our country hence the government should hold NEET PG asap.” 
PS: we already have a sort of Indian medical service, you get in via the CMS exam.

cms is for medical officer bro not ims… after cms u wont get posted as health officer of the district or director of health edu etc.
I don’t think 1.5 lakh doctors are sitting at home and studying, most of them are working and simultaneously studying and in this 1.5 lakh ppl there are MOs also,
so I don’t understand why ppl are constantly telling 1.5 lakh are at home.
Most of them are not financially well of to have a provision to sit at home and study,
So even after NEETPG is conducted this will only change the pool of doctors, now who are working in private hospitals may get seat in govt clgs, and what is the guarantee that those who didn’t get seat in neet will join duty, they may decide to take one more year drop.
Doing all this is not significantly increasing the heatlh force.
Healthforce can be significantly increased only by increasing the seats!
