Biochemistry is the study of the structure and function of biological molecules ranging from proteins

What is this Biochemistry all about;
Biochemistry is the study of the structure and function of biological molecules ranging from proteins, carbohydrates and lipids to nucleic acids. Simply put; it is the application of chemistry to the study of biological processes at the cellular and molecular level.
(Biochemists study the chemical processes in living organisms, including DNA, heredity and cell development. Understanding how chemical reactions happen in tissues and the effects of medicines(drugs) in the system(body). A Biochemists aim hovers around improving quality of life by understanding living organisms at the molecular level (what exactly happens inside your body; it’s metabolic functions and specific roles of some key genes, electrolytes, cells, organs etc). This could be done majorly via running laboratory experiments; getting samples from animals and plants, in addition understanding how genetic traits are passed down from one generation to another.
Biochemists are mainly employed or simply put “majorly” relevant in the sciences sector; working in research roles in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, as well as in food technology, toxicology and crime investigations (forensics). Many are also academic enthusiasts; teaching, empowering and grooming undergraduates and graduates to do great things and achieve great milestones in improving the body/living organisms in addition to researching their specialisms and collaborating with their peers. Others work for government departments, the national Health service and the Environment agency, including wildlife management and marine biology.
