sir have you seen any successfull opd of MD anaesthesiologist treating non communicable disease?
Even mbbs doctor can run successful opd… All depends on ur skills hard work and clinical sense …while doing ur MD anaesthesia u aquire a sound knowledge of many clinical diseases… Many of them get oriented towards being pain physician… But u can do general opd too
They can…as A GP or as a specialist in PAIN clinics.

General practice will be tough without specialization in future.
You can do pain clinic only if you’re trained and can afford expensive setup.
really…? There you’hv to compete with mbbs docs & even with ayush & quacks who charges much less.
yes I am yet to see a dm/mch doctor in 120 kms of my area.
Being available round the clock, taking emergency calls ,doing home visits , writing some fake certificates 
, if you can endure this initially your opd practice will boom
The key thing is setting up opd practice in a place where you are available, you can’t just come on weekends and expect a huge practice like super-specialists .
I think the criteria you mentioned every fresher spclt have to do in thr initial years
