Can I ask if anyone on here has had micro fractures in their knee at the same time as their acl reconstruction. If so what was your recovery like, and how long before the site of the micro fractures felt pain-free. I’m 7 months post opp on Saturday, acl reconstruction with same leg hamstring graft and micro fractures o n the right side of my knee. I can cycle miles, My acl leg is nearly there with muscle strength, I have full range of motion and I can do single leg squats. But I really want to run, its just so painful in the micro fracture site.
I had micro fractures of my tibia along with acl, mpfl, mcl and meniscus. I’m 4 months post op (hamstring graft) and I don’t have any pain in my tibia anymore. It went away probably around 2 months po (or 4 months after the initial injury). I’m not sure if you are saying your fractures are a result of your reconstruction or injury… I do have pain in my patella when squatting with heavier weight and sometimes running but my PT says that will go away as my quad gets stronger. You seem to be really far out to still have pain from micro fractures. I’d talk to your doc about it.
