characrerized by dilation of cerebral ventricles ، caused by obstruction of the flow of CSF or by imbalance between production and absorption of CSF، in addition a distortion of brain tissue which has deleterious effect that include gliosis,inflammatory response and neuronal damage.
This condition could be aquired or congenital.
How it is treated??
Usually this condition is treated by a surgeon inserting a tube that works as drainge system called ′′ shunt ′′ where one of the end of this valve enters ventricles of brain and then passes the valve under the skin to another part of the body so that getting rid of the CSF is faster like abdomen or a chamber of the heart
