Dr Rifat sidiqqui 2nd year obstetric and gynaecology resident of Medical college kolkata was working at Eden Emergency (obstetrics and gynecology emergency) on 11/12/2021 at 10.30 PM, she was on duty from 8pm. Twinkle sk 25year old patient came, she was attending previous 3patients…she scrolled through her reports and found it to be a case of intrauterine foetal death one day back…As the patient did not require immediate intervention and there were 3 hemodynamically unstable patients she asked the patient and patient party to wait for few minutes and the intern on duty Dr Rahul Dey asked them to leave the emergency room for proper functioning and management of emergency services… Patient party started misbehaving with them Dr Rifat told them to calm down then one of the patient party name seema sk slapped her on her left face damaged her spectacle and thrashed her to the other side… When the intern Dr Rahul tried to prevent the situation she thrashed him also.

Please file FIR on these people and put them behind bars

What a day has come mc… Now even females are thrilling the female doctors…

Obg patients and patient relatives shd be dealt with more empathy…

It seems you are foreign to the extreme case load at obgy depts in govt hospitals. Empathy, sympathy and such high sounding words fly straight out of the window when a obg resident has to deal with tons of cases without sleep on a post ad day. Such words are fine only if a resident is treated as a human and not made to work like a machine for meagre stipend, hell even machine needs rest.

I don’t see any lack of empathy here.

nothing is more or less… EVERY Patients & parties are treated with empty by Doctors always.

But unfortunately , Indian doctors always suffers.

Violence against doctors is violence against Humanity.
