Dysplastic nevus syndrome:

● An autosomal dominant disorder with numerous dysplastic nevi.
■ They are ssociated with mutations in proteins associated with cell cycling (e.g., cyclin-dependent kinase 4 ,CDK4); acquired NRAS and BRAF mutations are also common.
■ Half of such patients will develop melanomas by age 60 years.
