General gyaan.. on Sunday night

General gyaan… on Sunday night

I read this few days back… and felt that this should be share to all of u especially the one who are starting their career…

With the news of starting counseling session …this is right time to share to all of u…

Remember once u opt seat in pg counseling… for most of them it is fixed for life time…

What are the things define u …?

Branch … college… DNB/MD/MS … Place of studying…colleagues…teachers mentors…

They will contribute a very small part in u r journey…called life

Then what defines u …?

  1. knowledge

  2. Attitude

  3. skills

These are very important… in u r life…

U might be knowing what are these… but will put it briefly for u…

  1. KNOWLEDGE-

This is foundation step…

It means being aware of things …

It includes facts concepts - understanding how to apply these things in to u r practice…

This will not develop over night …

U will aquire this slowly over a period of time…by u r education training and very importantly experience…

Even with experience u can become knowledgeable …but will take time…

Education and training will help u to become knowledgeable a bit faster…

This is the right time in u r life …to get knowledge…from books

So through out u r life try to gain knowledge… from various sources…

Never stop this basic step.

  1. ATTITUDE-

This includes manner with which u deal the patients problems colleagues etc

It reflects u r behaviour…

Attitude determines u r performance in u r life… this will decide ur level of motivation…

Remember attitude. will take lot of time to develop and more importantly they are contagious…

So right from beginning of u r career…start focusing on this and try to develop a positive attitude.

Stay away from negative people…

  1. SKILLS-

Ability to perform activity or tasks…

A small part of this determined naturally…

But majority of these …are determined by

Practice efficiency and training.

The more practice u do a particular skill…the more efficient u become…

Because skills are measured with units of speed precision Proficiency…

It is very important in our practice to accurately diagnose/ to make a decision for a given situation in a given time and with maximum accuracy…

Many times we concentrate on skills giving less importance to knowledge…

But skills are competencies that have been learned through transfer of knowledge and proficient through practice

Again this is the right time to start learning u r skills … and improve with practice.

U might be knowing about all these…but at some point of the time…we should stop for a moment …and recapitulate and start our journey again…

Wishing you all the very best for u future
