Hence the journey comes to an end…
Got my Step 3 score report today!! I am happy to share my experience with you.
Preparation time:- 1 month
Study hours: - 12-14 hours/day
Study materials: - U world Step 3 online, U world Biostatistics review, U world CCS, U world Step 2 CK notes, First Aid Step 1 (Biostatistics)
UWSA 1: -213
UWSA 2: -222
Real deal : -224!!
Step 3 preparation has been the most rigorous one for me amongst all the steps. I was involved in research and had my first assignment and at the same time I decided to take Step 3 because I barely had time in later months . It was like a “Do or Die” situation for me. But trust me, it’s all in the mind. I did U world Step 3 online twice, U world step 2 CK notes 4 days before exam, U world CCS twice and then in the 2 days gap between day 1 and 2 (I prepared flowchart notes for both practice and interactive cases), U world Biostatistics review and revising FA portion of it. Despite missing 7 questions in the first block on Day 1, if I have this score I am more than happy.
MY ADVICE FOR YOU: -Practice a lot of Biostatistics and Ethics ( for Day 1), if possible do CK notes because it refreshes everything for you, Keep practicing U world CCS as if you are realistically treating the patients, keep studying and stay positive, 2 days gap is best between Day 1 and Day 2, manage your time very well in each block of test(don’t panic like me), remember that one question doesn’t determine your performance, it is your cumulative performance that matters, therefore don’t be too sensitive to answers, click the answer and move. You can and will do it!
Thank you everyone on this forum for all the posts and experiences that helped me in my preparation. Please keep me in your prayers for match 2020.
