Don’t go for surgery. I myself am highly myopic and was advised against. Just accept the situation and stick to contact lens for outside wear and at home you can use spectacles. Be very hygienic while using contacts to avoid corneal ulcers. I’ve been using Alcon Air Optix silicon contact lens and it’s suiting me. Don’t experiment too much with the brand. You can take high index fibre light lenses for your spects like fibre blue cut , aspheric or tribrid which are super thin - a bit expensive but good because serves you 2-3 years easily. Choose a good brand and good store like Titan Eye Plus. Don’t order online.
