hi, can anyone tell me whats ‘‘assesment score’’ and ‘‘approx 3 digit score’’ on UWSA 1? are they meant to predict performance? if not then how to calculate performance
Uworld self assessments are meant to predict your score in real exam .
They examine you and test your knowledge according to the real exam style .
Every exam has it’s own specific Preparation, high yield concepts and a style of questions that you need to be familiar with .
Uworld is a very elite question bank that definitely has approach to real exam questions (i had almost 7-8 repeated questions from uworld in my exam) , additionally uworld is familiar in the way by which score is calculated and predicted .
So if a person has a very low score or failed in his/her self assessments , exam should be postponed , and defects should be corrected , while if score is good enough , it is time to have this step and to be satisfied and thankful whatever the result is .
However , it is only a prediction with a confidence interval and a range , means that your score is “likely” to be within the range given in your self assessments , but no guarantees .
Usually applicants work on their weakness areas according to score report on self assessment , additionally , they manage their time , way of thinking , and approach to solving questions based on self assessments .
Doing them is very important and beneficial .
My personal experience was a bit different , i used to have a very high scores in self assessments , but in exam day i had a drop , but as i told you , it’s all about statistics and probabilities that is prone to be not predictive in a few cases (not more than 5% according to their P value 0.05 with type 1-alpha error, which was my case) . But in step 2 ck it was predictive according to me
